ABOUT
Capucine Juncker
After studying history and obtaining a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the Sorbonne University, Capucine Juncker began her career in public relations, specialising in “art de vivre” and luxury. In 2013, she obtained her diploma in gemmology from the Institut National de Gemmologie and in 2019, the “Diamond Essential” certificate from the De Beers Diamond Institute.
She then decided to devote herself more specifically to jewellery that has left its mark on history. To share her research and passion in this field, she created in 2016 Property of a Lady, a website where she discusses the history, creation and jewellery market.
She has written for several magazines (Beaux-Arts Magazine, auction catalogues, Revue Française de Gemmologie…) and published several books: Magnitude Cartier High Jewelry (Flammarion, 2019), Émeraudes, tout un monde ! (Éditions du Piat, 2022, in collaboration) and Diamonds of Golconda (bilingual, Skira, 2024).
Having lived in Rome, London, Dubai and Riyadh, she focuses on the international dimension of jewellery history and the exchange between cultures.
She is a member of the Society of Jewellery Historians (London).
